Job Description

The Sports Gurukul is seeking a motivated and dedicated Male Volleyball Coach to join a school's physical education and sports coaching team in Godhra, Gujarat.

The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting structured volleyball training sessions, developing students' technical and tactical skills, improving team coordination, and preparing students for inter-school competitions and tournaments.

Key Requirements
1. B.P.Ed or M.P.Ed qualification is mandatory.
2. Good knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, including serving, passing, setting, spiking, blocking, and defensive techniques.
3. Understanding of volleyball rules, match strategies, team formations, and player positions.
4. Ability to plan and conduct structured training sessions for students with varying skill levels.
5. Knowledge of physical conditioning, agility, coordination, warm-up routines, and injury prevention.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, teachers, and school management.
7. Ability to motivate students, develop teamwork, and instil discipline and sportsmanship.

9. Must be willing to commute to or relocate to Godhra, Gujarat.

Responsibilities

1. Plan and conduct regular volleyball coaching sessions for school students.
2. Teach and improve fundamental skills, including serving, receiving, setting, attacking, blocking, and defending.
3. Develop students' technical abilities, tactical awareness, and understanding of match situations.
4. Organise drills, practice matches, and team-building activities to improve performance.
5. Identify talented students and support their development through structured training programmes.
6. Prepare school volleyball teams for inter-school tournaments, competitions, and sports events.
7. Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback to improve individual and team performance.
8. Conduct fitness, agility, coordination, and endurance exercises relevant to volleyball.
9. Ensure proper warm-up, cool-down, injury prevention, and student safety during training sessions.
10. Maintain discipline, encourage fair play, and promote a positive sporting culture.
11. Coordinate with the physical education department and school management for sports activities and competitions.
12. Maintain attendance, training schedules, and student performance records as required.
